As a touring inspirational singer, I meet a lot of amazing musicians and singers. I really do love female singers probably because I have a lot in common with them. That’s not to say that male singers are not incredible, I will just focus on the female singer for today’s article. These are all singers that I have met at one time in my life.
One of my favorite inspirational singers is Jennifer Russell. Jennifer combines the high mysticism of Mother Mary and numerous other ascended masters and angels with the soft sounds of piano. She plays piano in a very beautiful way. Of course her CDs are layered with bass, guitars, string instruments, drums and angelic voices. The result is songs that make your soul sing. She has an abundance of releases- ‘Lie down in that grass’ (one of my favorites), ‘One with the One’ (another favorite), ‘There is Only Light’, and so many more. A lot of her songs will draw the listener right into a meditational bliss. I often listen to her music while driving long distances.

The website does just that and the best thing about it is that it offers its service for free and for public. Anyone can enjoy the benefits this organization offers and everyone can have them without paying at all. Its programs include bringing art to those in dire need of cheering and supports. Music performances are held at public spots and anyone who finds themselves in a hard situation can improve their moods just by listening to the music being played.
There is this event held annually where pianos are placed at public spots and everyone is invited to play the instrument the way they please. However, there is one condition for this, after certain time, the event will be closed so as to avoid disturbing the neighborhood with unwanted sounds.
Sing for Hope is an organization focusing on this service but their work
I love music. There is so much beauty and culture to be found in varying genres of music. Of course, we all have different tastes. I personally am quite partial to what is commonly known as “Indie” music. Artists like Lighthouse and the Whaler, Young the Giant, and Chet Faker dominate a large portion of my car time. I have friends who are more partial to country music, favoring relatable lyrics and catchy melodies. My own brother enjoys the incredibly rhythmic properties of rap and hip-hop. Even within these categories, there are thousands of sub-categories with tens of thousands of artists all with varying degrees of fandom. These fans swear by their taste in music and often belittle those who like anything else. Why is that?
I had a friend in high school who grew up in a very musical family. His mother and sister are both very talented singers and his father composed and recorded music for years. He played in concert band for much of his schooling and is an insanely good drummer. He has a rich background in music, but would often swear that rap and hip-hop do not qualify as music. This style

There are a lot of different
Music has been an essential part of almost every culture. In fact when we talk of any culture, music is one of the things that distinguishes each community and society from each other. There are many studies that have proven how beneficial music could be in the overall development of kids. You might have spent more than half of your energy teaching discipline, cooperation, values in life, and other social
Music is just a wonderful feeling that has the potential to blow our minds and we sometimes wonder what it takes to create this magic. Well surely it is not easy to get all your instruments and tools right and synchronize them perfectly as you wish. The fact is that you have to be a genius or a legend to create an absolutely fresh piece of music without any base. Every time we hear something, the sound gets stored in our mind and when we look to create music then we figure out ways to recreate those sounds through sound instruments. Take help of the hip hop samples to get some idea of how to proceed and hip hop drum samples will guide you with the sounds.
Hip hop sound kits are the marvelous gift for the modern world of music where you can have a simple electronic interface to produce all the sounds without needing to have all those instruments. Just imagine that with a sound kit, you can produce all the desired sounds with just a touch and you can manage all those instruments virtually at one place on your screen. This is the power
They say the birth of soul came in the 1950s, when the parents of gospel and jazz came together to form a more contemporary and dance-friendly style of music.
The Motor City is no doubt the backbone of modern soul and R&B. It became a powerhouse and industry standard for soul music throughout the country, competing with Atlantic Records and Stax for chart-topping hits throughout the 60s.
The one thing that stands out about Detroit’s golden era of soul music, which isn’t covered very often in many music documentaries or biographies, is the reverberation and inspiration drawn during the civil rights era occurring alongside its timeline.
Soul music isn’t just a genre, its black poetry set to the sounds that emanate from the soul.
If that sounds like a profound statement to be made, well, it’s the only way to describe what anyone feels when they identify deeply with the lyrics, the passion, and the power that soul music provides to black culture.
LOSING TOUCH IN DETROIT
As with practically every music genre in history, once soul music began to dominate the charts and the money showed record labels,
The following is a brief list that includes some of the world’s best jazz guitarists of all time. Whether you’re an aspiring jazz musician or just someone who appreciates the music, this list is for you.
Charles “Charlie” Christian was an American jazz guitarist who lived from 1916-1942. He is credited with bringing the jazz guitar out of the rhythm section and into the world of solo instrumentals. He was called the best improvisational talent of the swing era and one of the founding fathers of bebop, while single-handedly influencing nearly every other artist on our list. He was so diverse that he eventually was inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame for his early influence.
As the jazz music world continued to gain popularity, more artists emerged. Among them was Wes Montgomery, who was greatly influenced by Charlie Christian. In fact, he learned Christian’s solo and often played them note for note. Montgomery would eventually develop powerful techniques and lines for his own solos which would make him one of the most important and best jazz guitarists of all time. He later would be imitated for generations of
Copyright holders, along with YouTube (to use a well-known example), have, within the last few years, been cracking down on people using copyrighted music without permission. Tributes & covers of songs, of course, have been somewhat “riding the fence” of legality, where the artists gives their due credit to the composer/lyricist in question and provides a disclaimer in their video description that says “this is not my work, I do not own the rights to this music,” and they generally get left alone, more or less.
Obviously, though, not all videos with music in them are covers or tributes. Other videos are sometimes sales pitches, or vlogs featuring meditation music. Whatever the reason for including music at all, it’s something of an embarrassment for a video creator if they have to remove or replace the music in their video because the music was copyrighted, and the creator had their video monetized. And since not every content creator out there earns lots of money from their videos, they likely can’t afford to pay the royalty fees required of them, so they’re forced to remove the music.

In today’s music world, if you don’t stand out- then you blend in with the rest of the crowd. That’s not always a bad thing, especially if you’re not trying to make a lot of money or significantly increase your lot in life. In a world of ducks, it can be a profitable thing to be a goose. Remember when we were kids, playing “Duck, duck, GOOSE?” The ducks sat still… it was only the goose that got to do anything. I don’t know about you, but I would rather be a goose any day of the week. In this article I will mention some of the ideas I use to be a goose.
The music world is infamous for having substandard noise in it. I’m not necessarily talking about what we would commonly regard as bad music-although that is a factor as well. There’s just a lot of music out there. iTunes and Spotify are prime examples of what I’m talking about. The music industry (like many other industries) has been severely interrupted and drastically changed by computers and the internet. There are still many musicians alive today who lived in B.C… (Before Computers).
Before we answer that question, let’s take a closer look at what jazz theory is.
What is Jazz Guitar Theory?
Jazzy theory isn’t the easiest thing to narrow down. It is many different things to different people. To some people it’s confusing, overbearing, and virtually useless. To other’s it’s the catalyst for their ability to play jazz guitar and remains a very important part of their musical career.
Jazz theory in its most basic form, however, is simply a method of speaking about the sound of music. It’s a way to narrow down the construction of the rhythms, melodies and tunes that we hear every single day.
Instead of wondering how a certain sound was made with an instrument, you simply have to read the notes from the musician to know how the sound was made. Every theory you learn is unified by real sound.
Essentially, jazz guitar theory becomes most important when you understand how it relates to the tunes that resonate with you. But it takes more than a few weeks to learn how sounds are made and how you can create your own compositions.

It looks like hearing your favorite music can instantly place you in a great mood. But researchers are actually finding that music can perform more for you personally than simply raise your spirits.
Scientific studies are showing it features a number of health advantages.

1. CHRONIC BACK Discomfort
The way it helps: Music utilizes a autonomic central nervous system – negligence the central nervous system accountable for controlling our bloodstream pressure, heartbeat and thinking processes – as well as the limbic system – negligence the mind that controls feelings and feelings. When slow rhythms are performed, our bloodstream pressure and heartbeat decelerate which will help us breathe more gradually, thus reducing muscle tension
Let’s take a closer look at what blues and jazz are and how they differ in musical style.
What is Jazz?
Jazz and blues are two distinct musical genres. They are American musical traditions that have roots that go back hundreds of years. Jazz for instance, was developed in New Orleans and was originally known as “jass” but later evolved into jazz by dropping the “ss” and replacing it with “zz” which basically translates into “cool”. It wasn’t until the 19th century that jazz began to take on brass instruments, prior to which instruments like the saxophone, cornet, and trombone were primarily used. As those instruments were infused into the genre, it evolved to create a much larger base.
What is Blues?
Blues, unlike jazz, originated in the southern part of Mississippi, and was first recorded in the 1920s. During that time, it was typically played solo, which is different from the ensemble like nature of jazz we see today. The first ever blues solo player simply used a slide guitar as his primary musical instrument. Today, it enlists the help of many artists and includes blues bands to create its distinct sound.

As a result of these wide ranging benefits, it’s no surprise that many parents are keen to encourage their children to start learning a musical instrument at a young age. On the face of it, this is a great idea but it can sometimes result in some challenges finding suitable instruments, especially with younger children. Woodwind & brass instrument, by their very nature, usually require the player to hold the weight of the instrument. For younger players with smaller hands, this can prove difficult. It is important that children are not pushed to start learning too young, as this can not only put them off playing but can cause, in the worst cases, issues with posture as well as muscular and skeletal problems.
Some instrument manufacturers have addressed this challenge by designing specially designed models with children and younger players in mind. These may feature reduced keywork, curved headjoints or lightweight materials to make them easier to play and hold. For types of instrument where this is not possible, there are a number of other tips and tricks that you can employ.
How young is too young?
Unfortunately the answer to this question is like many
